NTUEE Light Dance 2022
NTUEE Light Dance (台大電機光舞) is a student-run production where everything — software, hardware, costumes, props, choreography — is built from scratch by students in NTU’s Department of Electrical Engineering. Inspired by light dance performances abroad, the group develops LED and optical-fiber wearable systems that synchronize with music and choreography to create a glowing stage show performed entirely in the dark. All dancers are EE students as well.
The Story — Two Kingdoms and the Hourglass
The 2022 performance tells the tale of two rival kingdoms. Rumors spread of a legendary treasure — the Hourglass — said to grant the power to control time itself. The two kingdoms wage war to claim it first. But while the armies clash, a lone wizard discovers the Hourglass and seizes its power, freezing both kingdoms in time and bending them to his will.
